Painting has been a constant presence in Jocelyn Bonhomme’s life since childhood. Growing up around his father’s studio, he discovered painting by watching him at work, before experimenting on his own. He exhibited his first oil paintings at the age of 16. Over time, he developed his own artistic practice, guided by curiosity.
Working primarily in oils, he moves between abstraction and figuration. He enjoys experimenting with different materials and techniques, exploring colors and textures along the way. At the heart of his practice is the simple pleasure of painting, embracing the unexpected and finding a balance between control and spontaneity.
His paintings invite personal interpretation, allowing each viewer to bring their own emotions and perspectives to the work.
